9-5 2.2TiD Saloon Into Injury Time

It's almost time to retire the barge and get a new car
. They're selling on Autotrader for either side of £800 and it's needing more than that in mechanical and cosmetic work. I'm probably going to downsize and go for brand-new, possibly on a personal lease. Having got the 9-5 over 10 years ago as a Cat C write off I know it's worth next to nothing as a trade-in. And if I go for a lease I won't be able to trade it so I have been looking into just scrapping it rather than trying to sell / auction it. I can get more for scrapping than going through webuyanycar. The question is - would a specialist Saab breaker offer me more than my local scrap merchant? In reality the sum of the parts is probably worth significantly more than the whole. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry if it's stating the obvious, but why don't you call a few of the specialist breakers to get some idea of its worth to them? Much better than us hazarding guesses!

Do you have any ex Saab dealers near you that are active in trading SAABs if so have a chat to them, they should have some knowledge about the old SAAB market and feeding the the breakers - I would have thought.
