disco strobe xenons
« on: 20 February 2016, 10:31:17 AM »

'58 9-5

When I switch off the headlamps they spend 2-3 seconds flickering on-and-off light a strobe, before eventually powering off. This doesn't happen all the time, but appears to be fairly random and can happen after short (<10 miles) or long (>100 miles) journeys

Not yet had a chance to check if there are any codes showing but any thoughts on what I ought to be looking at

TIA

W

Nothing to worry about.  It's normal.

It's just the ballast discharging.  You can stop it if you turn off the ignition before the lights - or the other way around!!

Mine does exactly the same. I did however noticed a difference when I cleaned the connectors on the front & rear levelling arms.
As for Swedish Techno, OK everyone, sing along, you know the words... ideally in the voice of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets   ;D

Just noticed the similarity between his eye brows and the headlamps of a DE 9.5.  ;D
