Siezed electric window motor
« on: 19 May 2021, 10:13:23 PM »
Our Peugeot 107 seems to have a siezed electric window motor. I've swapped the switch to the other side and it works, so it isn't that. Our mechanic had a look also, and said that it is drawing current from the battery when you press the switch but the motor is doing nothing.

So my question is, is there anything one can do with, or spray on/into the motor to try to free it, or am I better off just getting a replacement motor? And should I get the whole regulator assembly with the motor?

I have no idea how the Peugeot system works, but it if it's like the 9-3 with pulleys and wires, the regulator may be jamming the motor, if the wires are off the pulleys.  that's what happened to our car.  You will need to get in there and look.
