Insurance renewal time
« on: 18 February 2025, 10:33:52 AM »
Time for insurance renewal, I was kind of dreading this as I'd been doing comparisons after the non-fault total loss accident last year so had budgetted about £800-£900 as the policy was about £570 for the year after I got the Aero with XWD, cheapest price I could find via the meerkat site was £450 with Darwin (sounds like poor naming to me...) and a £350 excess, no quotes from the meerkat site offered a £0 total excess either. Got the renewal through from Aviva today and they want £420 with £0 total excess (this is after removing my ex-girlfriend from the policy too which saved another chunk of cash), it's actually quite a large a price reduction from last year! So my advice to reduce your car insurance is to have more non-fault total loss claims

That's an unexpected change.... I have a non Saab policy coming up within the month, U25 driver, so I'll be hoping for a reduction
