CD Autochanger
« on: 27 June 2012, 01:11:39 PM »
The toy GM900 has got a Clarion CDC635 CD autochanger in the boot that shows no signs of life. I put a magazine thingy with a CD in and it just stuck lifeless and unable to play or even eject. I dismantled it with a teeny weeny screwdriver, and it showed signs of corrosion, possibly caused by damp, water etc. So I shan't bother putting that back together, even if I can find all the teeny weeeny screws.

Anybody got any experience on these things? There seems to be some availability of such things on Fleabay, doubtless due to cars getting written off by running into things rather than reversing ...

mines a 97 900 and the changer in mine didnt work ( unsure what make original or not) i swapped it for an old sony and leads etc where fine, mines an after market stereo but all leads off the factory fitted one fitted on the new one so assuming it should be ok unless you know someone who can check out the plug in the boot for the old one ?? good luck. Any clarion CDC 6 series will fit and work straight away. Peanuts on FLEABAY.
