Please Help!!
I own both 2000 Saab 9-3 and 1999 Saab 9-3. My 2000 Saab 9-3 engine broke when the piston chattered and destroyed both the cylinder block and engine block.
I transferred the 1999 Saab 2.0 Turbo engine to the 2000 Saab 9-3 engine case as a substitute. The engine started when I cranked the key to start. I then evaluate checked the problems. The Direct Ignition Cassette is "intact", but the Spark plug doesn't (spark). Seems that there were electrical problems, there aren't any distributor, and everything seems to be manually computerized. The Engine Control Module seems to be the problem. I tried to configure the wires and it dint work. What are some of the advice can you give me?

Welcome! :)

I suspect that your 1999 engine has a red ignition cassette and the 2000 engine has a black ignition cassette.

The two engines have different versions of Saab engine management.  The red top engine is Trionic 5; the black top engine is Trionic 7.  Different computer systems. The electronic bits in the engine need to stay with the car.

When you swapped engines you need to swap the red and black ignition cassette as well. Maybe the spark plugs.  Maybe the crankshaft position sensor.  Exhaust lambda sensors? Temperature sensor?  Some may be OK, but I'm not sure.

There is also the possibility that a wire has broken when you moved the wiring looms about.
