I have arranged for a Saab display area in conjunction with the Hazeldene Farm annual Open Day at Chesham, Bucks.  There will be lots of things for all the family to do.  Also a display of Classic cars and a Morris Minor meeting.

Entry is free to Saabs and their occupants when they are parked in the "Saab Compound".

The open day is in aid of the local Air Ambulance.

Looking forward to all of you coming to this.

A couple of updates, following a meeting with the organisers...

If you do not come in a Saab, Morris Minor or Classic car and park in the designated show area, you will need to pay the entry fee. This is now £3.50 per adult, not £3.00 as stated earlier.

At 3.00 pm we are organising a parade of a dozen or so cars. All chosen by the organisers. If your car has an interesting history let us know.

If you want to use the opportunity to sell any parts, the organisers are happy with this, but would expect a substantial donation to the Air Ambulance fund. That is the basis on which all stallholders are working under.

And finally, there will be a Pimms bar as well as a beer tent! :) It is Buckinghamshire, after all!

Please note that Buslins Lane opposite the Hazeldene Farm entrance is not open to vehicles.  Some satnavs are trying to send you along there.... :(

Copy of the flyer for the event from the farm's website?

Don't forget......   It is still free of charge if you come in a Saab and park in the Saab display area!! :)

A bit more info gleaned from this afternoon's final planning meeting.

Each car attending will receive a voucher to obtain 10% off any purchase at the farm shop.

The signs from the centre of Chesham will just say "Country Fair"

If lost follow signs to Bellingdon or Asheridge Industrial Estate.  You should be in Bellingdon Road to start with, then turn left into Asheridge Road and drive right through the industrial estate and continue down the lane to the farm.

Is there a preferred time for people to arrive or just anytime after 12?

sgould

If you are a bit early, we will be there.  First event is soon after 12 noon, so we can't have every one arriving on the stroke of 12.

I will be there from around 10 am.  Rotary Club are marshalling the site.  They arrive in two batches, one at 10 and a second group at 11.

A quick (final) update!!

I have just got home from setting up the field.  I asked the organisers how soon before 12 noon we could get in, and they said that they hoped that as many cars as possible would be in place by 11.00 am.  It would have been nice to have been told this earlier!!

So those that are coming.  The earlier the better.  I will be there from about 10am.

So, if possible, aim to be there by 11.00 am.

Great photos. My dad's first car was a Moggy Minor. And weren't those Anglias small?!

It was a great turn out.  And fairly easy for me to organise.  The farm did all the hard work.  I just had to publicise it and string out a couple of ropes and hang some direction arrows. :)

With a selection of craft stalls and home made food stalls, I even managed to get my wife there!!

Here are my selection of photos.  I nearly caught the Air Ambulance when it circled around...

Just realised that I manged to take a picture of everyone's car except mine!  ::)

I did get a couple of short clips of the helicopter as it circled before flying away
