How to lock the car with the dog inside?
« on: 05 August 2014, 09:36:09 AM »
On my 9-5 there is a brilliant option to set the alarm to 'door only' as you leave the car, to lock the dog in so he won't set off the alarm while you duck into the shops. How do you do this on a 9-3 '04 model?

Press the "Customize" button.  Twiddle the knob until you get to the alarm section.  Set to "door alarm only".  Something like that...

Yep. Thanks. The 12 year old found it for me too.

Cheers Will - I can now lock the car and leave the rear windows open a smidgeon to avoid the car getting sweltering hot for when we come back out of the supermarket. (though it is cooling down a bit now so I will soon be resetting it lol)

What do you call sweltering then?

Sorry for late reply nine-fiver.
For me, it is when the car has stood in bright sunshine, temperature largely irrelevant, and ends up like an oven! Even in good old Blighty, it doesn't take much.

Red paint, ambient of 44C... Over 70 inside. Deadly for kids and animals. Love how I can drop all the windows on the Aero before getting in. Fabulous idea that one.
