I know soem of the later 9-3's had the 2.8 litre V6 engine. Anybody got any experience of these? I have an old GM900 with the 2.5 litre V6. Is the 2.8 a derivative of this or something completely different?

It's a completely different engine. Developed by Holden in Australia for GM worldwide.
Seems very strong and very smooth.
