Just returned from a week's break in the Welsh Marches - the fuel consumption was excellent over 530 miles with an average of 46.94 mpg over a mixture of a couple of hundred miles of motorway, the rest being A & B road miles. Very pleased as the official fuel consumption for a manual 2.2 TiD estate is 52.3 mpg highway and 40.9 mpg combined so at 163k on the clock so the old girl is doing well for her age and mileage!
I did notice when checking the oil that what is generically called a "hump hose" the one between the turbo and the plastic pipe that comes from the MAF sensor had a little bit of oil around it so I am going to replace it with a silicone "Samco Sport" one. Now I put a vernier guage on the plastic pipe which measured 49mm in diameter but the nearest size hump hose I can buy is 50mm I.D. Does this mean that as usual everything Saab is a one-off part or will the 50 mm I.D. fit OK?
Anyone replaced this hose and can offer any help?
