This week the airbag light and the bing bong has started up again.  I had a new airbag last November, and a new clockspring in June.

What else is left?

The connector that goes from the airbag leads to the CIM connection can be temperamental. I found that on mine, and eventually cured it with a new (used one).

Have you checked the resistances with Tech 2?

Try taking the airbag off and pushing the connector home whilst looking at the value on Tech 2

That's more or less my next plan, but I need to be careful.  The other car is virtually off the road until the rear axle seal is replaced and the rear suspension changed.  I can't have two cars immobile.

The airbag light was going on and off, but now it's on permanently.  When I checked the resistance earlier it was 4.6 ohms, but I could get it to change a bit by moving the steering wheel.  Now the light is on all the time, I hope the resistance is steady, which might make it more traceable.

I had the clock spring changed in June and the new clock spring needs an adaptor cable.  I'll have a look.

I would leave this car alone until the other one is sorted. With seat belts fitted & used, an airbag is only a secondary safety system, at least from my perspective.

No errors from tech 2 ?

I agree, there's no rush.  The Carlsson will be fixed at the end of the month.  And then we take it on holiday.

I get different codes for the airbag each time I check.  From memory B0026 and B0042 have been alternating. but i've also seen B0044 & B0072.  They all relate to the drivers airbag.
