I have just bought a '95 2.3 LPT auto (as the 'box is quieter than my 2.3 FPT). I put an APC in as it came without one, ready for possibly transferring the ECU from the FPT. However, currently running with the LPT ECU I find that it frequently hits the fuel cut off with any sort of acceleration from about 50. It did not do this running without the APC. Is the APC allowing extra boost (no gauge in an LPT) and the fuel cut off set lower in an auto ECU? (I know the APC is OK as it came straight out of the other car).
