Interior trim colour codes
« on: 26 July 2021, 08:20:19 PM »
Is it possible to find out the interior trim colour code of a 9-3 from it's reg number alone?

My drivers headrest is scratched/scuffed and waa watching one on Ebay just billed as being 'grey' and from a 2005 car. The seller doesn't know the colour code. Mine is K09, but he no longer has the car it came out of, but he has a photo of it with a reg.

Or is it easier/cheaper to get that leather colouring wax/polish in K09 and treat my own headrest?

Were there more than one grey leather trim colours other than K09, used from 04 - 56, or this headrest automatically be the right grey?

The parts list shows several “Grey” trim codes.

K01 & K30 are listed as the same, and cover cars between 2005-6
K02 & K03 are listed as the same and cover cars between 2006-7
K05 is a grey for 2003-7
K06 is a grey for 2004-7 but seems to be for convertibles
K09 is a grey for 2006-7
K20 is a grey for convertibles 2004-7
K29 is a grey for 2005-7
K39 is a grey/black for convertibles.

I have no idea if the colour is significantly different

I think they were all the same, but to be honest I'd just message everyone breaking a Saab that looks like it might be right and ask them if they have the colour code?

Yeah not desperate to buy this actual one,, just wondered as he only had a photo of the headrest and of the 54 plate car it came from.
