2006 Convertible.
Has anyone here replaced the rear side window, front-edge seal (the one where the rear side window butts up to the rear of the front passenger window)
I have noticed mine has a split in the bottom edge of it, and while it isn't leaking yet (so far as I can tell), it isn't going to get any better.
The seal seems to be part of a harder plastic part that seems to be bonded onto the glass in some way. Is this difficult to remove?
I thought it only came as part of the glass. I can check later.
Hmmm - it might do. That makes it a tad worrying - & expensive! I shall have to see what my options are for a repair then :-\
Spoke with Oxford Saab about this today - they reckoned the seal is bonded on to the glass (dumb idea) so does anyone have any links to seal repair kits? I've looked on internet briefly, haven't come up with anything :(

There is a couple on car parts connexion (so brand new) for around £200-£250.
Okey dokey - thanks for tracking those down. I will take a look. But I think I will be carrying out some kind of a repair on it to be honest :(
Hi - i have the same problem with my 9-3 convertible, just wondering if you managed to successfully repair it or maybe there is no point in doing this and this needs to be replaced.
cheers,

Hi Rako - no not done anything with it yet - but...
I bought a bicycle puncture repair kit the other day in order to use the glue from it
Im still pondering how to go about actually making the repair though. it needs to retain the sponginess of that area of the seal
