Title: 05-09 heater fan speed controller - part number problem
Post by: SaabLee on 11 December 2012, 09:51:22 PM
Hi. Had a look at my faulty heater fan speed controller today (06 Dame Edna) and while I was at it got the part number off it for a replacement. Expected to see 5468152 as advertised for 05-09 but instead have 5468160 which is not seen anywhere. Anyone have any idea why the numbers are different and is 5468152 the same. Thanks

5468152 is for left hand drive cars according to my EPC, 5468160 is for RHD.

Well, there must be a difference of GM would have gone with 1 part to make it cheaper for them overall. Given how many parts are different between LHD and RHD vehicles for the heater box I'd suggest that the entire thing is different and to go for the right part. Given how often these fail (i.e. not very often) I'd be looking at getting a second hand one.
