Title: Rear spring
Post by: Alan on 31 March 2014, 08:52:36 PM
I need a pair of rear coil springs for my 2007 1.9 vert. I believe the Saab part number is 12786582 but they are a bit expensive even GSF want £60+ each so I've looked for something a bit cheaper.
I've found some made by KYB part number RX6360. Can anyone confirm these are a suitable replacement for my car.

    Thanks  Alan

If you check the VIN label in the door shut, the row of letters and numbers across the bottom will give the specification of the suspension as it left the factory.  if you tell us the code we should be able to check the part number.

Numbers and letters are

52-5-4-1-66-68-AB-BB-CB-DB

The reason for asking about these KYB springs is because Saab seem to have a different spring part number for every engine and body type but the online KYB catalogue lists the same rear spring for saloon and convertible. ( Standard RX6360 Heavy duty RX6359 )

Information about the RX6360 springs are.
Thickness (mm) 12.25
Outer Dia (mm)  138
Length (mm)     288

The RX6359
Thickness (mm)  12.75
Outer Dia (mm)  139
Length (mm)      280
