Anyone know if there's a way to open the front screen of the 2010 9-3 satnav?
I tried a backup copy I made of the original disc. It all checked out file by file after copying it. It was accepted by the machine after it did its own check. It seemed to work, then I pressed a screen button to enter a route and it froze..... The button for opening the front to get at the map DVD is only on the touchscreen. And I can't get to it.
Is there a way of opening the screen, or doing a full factory reset?
The white button in the middle is the one I need to get at.

Pull the fuse?
I was going to try that in the morning! Maybe take it out...
But I went out and tried to find an "engineer's button". The original Saab radio had different things happen if you turned it on while pressing another button. I tried that and turning on the unit while holding the NAV button brought the screen back and I got the disc out. Just pressing the NAV button didn't work.
Phew! :-[ :-[ :-[
What a relief! There's always a way.

I've got one of those already! :)
And some bigger ones from the days when I was going around lifting cast iron manhole covers.... ;)
