Title: auto dimming glass wing mirrors

Im pretty sure i have auto dimming wing mirrors and the glass just looks too tinted. Any info on this would be good. Thanx.

The door mirrors dim with the interior mirror. The sensor is in the interior mirror and they all work together from that.

There is a light sensor on the front and back of the interior mirror.  It works by comparing th light falling on each. 

Turn on the ignition.  Put your finger over the hole in the front of the mirror.  The one pointing through the windscreen.  Mirrors should darken.

Make sure at the button on the bottom of the mirror is pressed up to turn the dimming on.

It appears that the replacement glass is £120+ so will be getting standard glass for them.

When my glass failed.  The replacements were £180...

I have one plain and one dimming door mirror.  ::)
