Hi guys, Ive recently got a 03 plate 9-5 2.2 tid 158k miles which I know very little about except was told it had a dodgy injector. Originally got it as a donor car but it is so nice inside that I,ve decided to have a go at fixing it. So today I took off the camshaft and got the injectors out.
Now the dilemma do I get these injectors checked/serviced, how much will that cost? Or take the ones out of my old car with 190k miles on the clock, lot of miles but I know the injectors worked fine. Or use the ones out of a donor engine (no I don't own a scrapyard...Yet) which apparently has only done 68k.
How good are the injectors on these engines, is failure common? Might do option three and hope for the best, worst case is doing it all again.
Any thought guys?
p.s. best place to get injector seals washers and leak-off hose and connectors :)
If you have one bad injector and don't know which then I'd send off 5 or 6 injectors for service/repair (dependant on price but you need to call the local bosch injector place and ask them how much) and hopefully you'll get 4 good ones back (if they sort out the other 2 sell them on ebay). If you want the other bits you can get them from the service place most likely or a dealer.
Just found a place that sell new injectors for £35 + vat, sounds very cheap indeed
I would be thinking that they are too cheap and unlikely to be Bosch injectors...
It says Boschhttp://www.commonraildiesels.com/product_info.php/vauxhall-zafira-dti-new-bosch-diesel-injector-0432193512-p-1582
Have a look and see what you think, very cheap indeed
Well, you can try just I'd be thinking along the lines of fake or non-genuine, obviously I could be wrong but these injectors are not usually that cheap.
