Title: White smoke
Post by: foxstein on 27 February 2016, 03:27:37 PM
Have swapped the injectors on my 2.2 tid and it still smokes so guessing it's not the injectors. Lots of grey blue smoke on idle, any ideas,? Turbo seals? Intercooler? Have cleaned the inlet and swirl flaps and egr when I stripped for the injectors. Eml is on but am struggling on software to switch it off, purchased an op-com but it doesn't see the ecm, so looks like I'll have to purchase a licence for pc-scan. Really hoped the op-com would have worked as it should be more specific for the engine.

I'd suggest that the most likely cause is that the turbo is about to let go, it might be a split hose somewhere but that wouldn't usually cause smoking on idle.

Have spare turbo so fit that and see. Cheers
