Title: AirCon problem
Post by: idlerider on 24 March 2016, 03:31:40 PM
I need a new compressor to condenser hose for my 2003 aero estate- part no (I think!) is 5047048*. Any idea where I can source a replacement at reasonable money? There seem to be load of s/h ones on the Bay but I'd prefer to trust a new one.

* I'd also appreciate any thoughts/corrections on this.

I use Peter O'Carroll at Euro Saab Parts Direct  saabpartsdirect.co.uk

Give him a call, he's been very helpful to me in the past.  No online ordering.

That does look like the right part, order some new o-rings to go with it too. It runs from compressor to drier bottle from what I can tell. From what my old price list is telling me it doesn't look too expensive to get from a dealer or you could always try calling Saab parts in the UK or web chat with them, their contact details are on their site https://www.saabdirectonline.com/

Can anyone advise my aircon engineer about the best method of removal/re-fitment of this compressor-condenser pipe? As usual, Haynes runs screaming from the room the minute the refrigeration system's mentioned.
