Title: HELP - IVE LOCKED MY CAR AND CANT OPEN IT!!
Post by: pauljdh on 16 August 2011, 06:28:01 PM
Hi Ive just managed to lock my car doors (saloon) with the keys in the barrel. My spare wont open the doors at at all - I used the switch on the console to check door locks were operative and shut the passenger door apparently locking the car dead.

ANY IDEAS? PLEASE!!

When you say that the spare won't work, is this the remote button press, or with the key in the door?

There are times when a key in use, will prevent the other key being recognised, but if it's the right key, it should open the physical door lock.

Great! :)

I thought I'd mentioned the cap over the keyhole! ::)  Must proof read before posting.

On a 9-3 there is only a keyhole in the passenger door.  I suppose it's the drivers door in most markets......

My MY03 estate has the cover on the tailgate where the lock should be, but no lock. The cost accountants had obviously got to work by then ;D
