Over the weekend my heater fan has started making a very high pitch noise.

The only way to stop it was either have it running full speed or off.

Is it possible to get access to the fan to have a check of the motor?

If there is away can someone give me a guide on how to check it out.

The other problem that my 9-3 tdi has started doing along with many other things is when driving ata steady speed and then take foot of accelerator the cars seems to be misfiring, well thats what it feels like. when you then open the throttle it all seems fine?  HELP

Another on going problem is lack of power below 1500rpm and then power thumps in once up over 2000rpm, could this be an EGR problem and would blanking of help prove the fault.

I have had a look at what they have done and they have wire into the connection on the back of the light cluster. I think they have used some sort of bypass relay and tapped also into the main loom on the left side of the boot.

I am not sure if this is right, but i think it will go back to the garage to get it checked out.

The towbar was fitted by an independent garage tapping into the the light circuit.

I recently have had a tow bar fitted to my 9-3 SS and since then i keep getting a message on the SID saying LH rear brake light failure but when check to see if its working there is no problem.

Is this something to do with the by pass relay that they use?
If so is there anyway to stop the message or is a case of just having to clear each time?

I have cleaned out the egr valve numerous times and the smoking on start up has never gone away. also not really sure if egr valve is working properly anyway as struggle with power below 1500rpm and then once it gets to 2000rpm it kicks in like a steam train on drugs.

Is there anyway to test the egr valve once of the car or could a blanking plate confirm the egr valve is tits up?

I will solier on about the smoking on start up, see if anything else comes to light.

I have been having an on going problem with my 2004 1.9tdi sports for some time.

When the car is parked over night on the drive and then come to start in the morning it chucks out loads of blue smoke. If you rev the engine for a few seconds it disappears.

It only happens after the car has been stood for some time.

What could be causing this to happen?

I have had numeerous checks done by a local garage and no problems found. recently had MOT done and emmissions was good.

Run numerous diagnostics and nothing found.

Is this something to be worried about or should i just ignore?

 have checked the bulb and it works fine, but when the fail comes up on SID as soon as i touch the holder the light comes on.

I then go and switch on and off numerous times with no problem.
Leave the car with ignition off for 10 mins or more come back switch lights on LH headlamp not working.

Can anyone give me any ideas on what could be causing the problem?
I have checked all the connections and the only thing i can think of is the headlamp holder.

But the connector on the back provides the earth so Help.
