Rear Brake Discs (2004 Aero Convertible)

Hi

I have a 2004 Aero Convertible and one of the rear discs is badly scored and I think the pads starts to grind at low speeds.

I know I need to change them soon so if somebody could suggest a cheap site I could get new discs and pads from that would be good.

I was looking on Car Parts Connexion but don't know what Part No's the Rear discs and pads should be.

My chassis No is   YS3FH75YX46019256 and the door plate No's are : 11 - 6 - 2 - 1 - 6 - 6 -  -  -

If anyone could let me know what part no's I should be looking for also would I be able to get vauxhall parts that would fit (I think I have read other posts regarding this)

Welcome!

Unfortunately the chassis codes on the early cars don't run to the brake codes   They only show the springs, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars.

I'll see what I can find for the Aero convertible.

There is only one disc listed for the 9-3 with the B207R engine in 2004.

There's only two types of disc for that MY- vented 292mm or non-vented 278mm. It's easy to check by looking at the edge of the disc.

I would have said they should be vented but when I put your VIN into EPC it lists both as possibilities

My WIS definitely says B207E/B207L for the 15 inch brakes and B207R for the 1)6 inch brakes.

B207R is the Aero engine.

The later version is not so helpful- it just lists the brakes as levels 1, 2 and 3!

But you're right about the vented /non-vented being the easiest way to check.
