2.2TiD Wastegate Solenoid

Hi Everyone.

I have an engine management light on.. diagnostic result is '' Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid ''A'' Range/Performance" also under a heading of "DTC" is a ref. of P0244.

It is possible to cancel the fault code and the engine performs OK untill the next time I 'hoof it'' when the light comes on again and I am back to limp home mode.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.
