Brake Discs dia

I am looking at replacing the brake discs on my 93 but when I do a search on ebay there are different disc size options. Other than removing the wheel and measuring the discs how do I know what size to order. Its a 2007 9-3 1.9 tid on 17" wheels.

The codes should be there on a 2007 car.  They only put the springs, anti-roll bars and shock absorber codes on the label on earlier cars.

The codes are on the bottom edge of the VIN plate in the door shut.  A set of letters/numbers with hyphens between.

In order the codes signify the following (as the car left the factory):

Front Springs
Rear Springs
Front Anti-roll bar
Rear Anti-roll bar
Front struts
Rear shock absorbers
Front Discs
Rear Discs
Front caliper (including carrier bracket)
Rear caliper (including carrier bracket)

According to my parts list, which only goes to 2006, the diesels only got the 285 mm front discs.  But, the picture above was from a 120 hp diesel of 2007 vintage that I had access to, and that had the 285 brakes.

The 302mm discs were for the Aero/2.0T

The 314mm discs were for the 2.8 V6.

The Turbo X gor the 345mm discs.

Unless it was a 2.8 Aero, maybe?  I can't remember whether they were Aeros or not....

there are threads on saabscene where members have 2.0 aeros with 314mm discs,my MY04
aero came with  314mm fitted to the fronts..

Right!  That could be Saab normal then.  Fitting what bits they have when the "just in time" deliveries get delayed.

The data I posted is for MY07 and specific to the OPs car. Prior to MY07 WIS simply lists the disc specs by "level" i.e. level 1, 2,3 & 4 so yes, an MY04 Aero could well have had 314 discs from the factory, but I don't think it is the case for this MY.

Mine is a MY2003 2.0T Aero and the front disks are 314mm.
