My MOT is due soon and although the car stops fine, the discs are way past their best

I recently paid £32.75 +vat for Ferodo discs (288mm) and pads from my trade supplier for the front of mine  :)

I didn't know Ferodo made discs, I always used the Ferodo pads years ago and never had a problem, I'll look online and see what I can find

There's some people recommending this company on Vauxhall forums according to some guys on UKS.

CRN Discs, maybe machined EBC discs.  My recommendation would be to stay with plain discs.

Don't list any 314mm discs, might just buy genuine Saab discs from Neo bros, the brakes are plenty good enough for me

I bought genuine discs and pads from Vauxhall when I had my Signum, the original discs were knackered at 66000m. When I fitted the new ones, the pads were utter rubbish, I never felt safe so I scrapped the pads and fitted RedStuff. 20000m later the discs were already on the lower limit, when I complained to Vauxhall, they said non Vauxhall pads means NO WARRANTEE.

So I'm steering clear of them.

Lot of mixed feedback about the genuine pads on the vectra-c website

At work ATM, so can't access my invoices but I got the last lot for mine, front & rear discs & pads, from C. R. Marks, I think the make is Apec, for about £150 the lot, total, inc VAT. They are brilliant, wearing well, very efficient, progessive feel, blah blah. They seem to be lasting a lot longer than the genuine rears I fitted a few months after buying the car; those discs were very scored after only 12k miles. Tomorrow I will report on the cost of the Saab ones, the mileage they lasted, and the mileage the current ones have done so far.

My pads on my 2.8 Aero are 80% worn so looked on partsforsaabs.com and a set of genuine pads are £103....Special offer on at the minute genuine discs and pads £114...!! So i thought might as replace to the lot for piece of mind. Think this included the smaller discs and the bigger 314mm discs like ive bought...!

If you want genuine, I'd recommend Euro Saab Parts Direct. Peter and Derek are great guys, and really know their stuff.

Non OEM then the Pagid discs and pads Eurocarparts sell work really well together and bedding in is very quick.

Personally, I wouldn't touch EBC discs with a barge pole. I'm also very sceptical of their pads. This is based on my own experiences and feedback from professional race product suppliers.

Just checked the PFS link and it does not say the pads are genuine, only the discs, and the only Saab part no quoted is the discs

"Genuine replacement discs x2, plus a full set of pads to cover both sides of the car."

I'd say you're getting £30 el cheapo pads

Flicking through the google ads last night, it through up this site
