To interrupt the tumbleweeds ... I saw this yesterday:

I don't think I've seen one outside of publicity photographs. I saw a 9-2 when we were in Virginia two years ago.  And I've sat in a 9-3X and 9-4X.

I don't think they look too bad for a big 4x4. What were they based on?

[I know this thread is a year old!  :o ;D    ]

No idea, but it's a bit of a bloated if you ask me!   Reminds me of most American wagons I see over there.....yuk!

I think it was one of those sat outside the newly defunct SAAB / Geely dealership in Bahrain, when I paid them a visit.

It didn't look too inspiring I have to say.  :-\

It'a thinly disguised Chevrolet.

This one?

Ow, that hurts!
Will, you could've warned us to keep one eye closed.  At least with the original photo you can focus firmly on the Saab badge and ignore the rest of it.

Heheh!

Very well put!  :)

Saw one of these today - at first glance (from the side) I thought it was a 9-7x!  :-[  :o

Did a double take this afternoon, seeing a big chunky 4x4 with a Saab grille in a fairly out of the way place here in Austria! I'm assuming it was one of these. It was one of those "blimey, what was that?" moments!  :-\

There were a few sold, and some more were moved into the marketplace at the final bankruptcy auctions earlier this year.  There were some NG9-5 estates as well.  A garage in the Czech Republic bought a lot.

Have you found your next car? :)

They still had 9-7x in stock then? Last ones were built in 2008 for the 2009 model year as they closed the factory down in America...

I was referring to the 9-5 & 9-4
