Is there really no keyhole on the driver's side? I know mine is a 9-5 not a 9-3, but there is a plastic cap over the keyhole on both sides of my car.

You sure about that? I've only ever seen a physical lock on the drivers door on the 9-5 (although on the 9-5 the lock is handed to the drivers door depending on the car being LHD and RHD) on the 03- 9-3 there is only a physical door lock on the left hand side of the car.

I must be going senile. There's only the one on the driver's door.

The Saab 9-3 Sports Saloon only has a keyhole in the passenger door.  I suppose it's because it's the driver's door on most of the markets...

Believe me on a 06 ,9-3 sportswagen there is only a lock on the passenger side otherwise I wouldn't have had to tow the car against the handbrake to gain access to the car.As said before the passenger door must be the drivers door in the major saab markets.
