The other Saab is going in tomorrow to be fixed. It's not mobile and is going to need towing in, so I turned it round on the drive for ease of towing. There was much smoke and burning rubber smell. Opened up and peered in and looked down just in front of the engine mount. Yup, there it was, one shredded auxiliary belt. Not sure why. maybe something had seized or it had failed due to old age. More later

Well she's towed in, belt is obvioulsy shot, but looks as though she'll need the upper idler pulley plus whatever. More news tomorrow.  8)

That's it. Top and middle idler replaced and a new belt fitted and she's running happily. :thumbsup:
