Hi, I pulled into the garage today and re set the trip and the main info. Turned the car off, filled up, and then started up and drove off. Since that stop the 'system cleared' message won't go away. It sits in the middle of the top display on the dash partly obscuring the radio station details. As a result I don't get the DTE or MPG info. I have had a problem with no DTE info for the first 100 miles of a tank (sender problem I think) so not sure if related (I did get the MPG etc info though). Can anyone tell me how to get the correct info displayed again please. Wondered if disconnecting the battery would work. I hope there is a simpler way as I can't find my hammer at the moment ;)
Car is a 93ss 2.0t, 2003. Many thanks.

Yes this fault is caused by a software bug in some of the early 9-3's.
You can either disconnect the battery for a short time or remove fuse 14 in the left side of the dash for a bit.

There is a software update for the ICM to stop it from happening again but it probably won't happen again for some time.

Precisely what Merve84 said, although when they start doing it they seem to start doing it more and more often so you may want to get the ICM service programmed by an indy or dealer.

Sorry to have taken so long to get back. Removing the fuse sorted it. Thank you very much for your assistance.
