Fuel pump check valve

Where is the fuel pump check valve?  My coupe has the symptoms of a failed check valve and I'm trying to find the darn thing.

I'm hoping it's outside the fuel tank and near the fuel pump outlet at the top of the tank but I've not seen anything there that looks like the pictures I've seen of the valve.

Thanks in advance!

I only have a parts list for the 9-3.  No check valve listed.  I think that it's part of the fuel pump - in the tank.

That might make things easier, I'll simply install an inline check valve between the fuel tank and the fuel filter -- not perfect but should be a quick and easy way to resolve the long crank start up on the car.

Thanks!

What about the Pressure Regulator on the end of the Injector rail? Does that have a check function as well?

Does the long crank happen with a cold engine, or just warm? The symptoms of a leaky Pressure Regulator (leaking into the manifold via the vacuum tube)  can be the same as a check valve failure when the engine is warm.
