Evening ;D

I have a 1998 Saab 900 xs 2.0i. Had it a year or so and it has been pretty reliable apart from blowing exhaust join and more recently blowing the hose from thermostat to heater. And not forgetting the leaking distributor seal and iffy headlight wipers ;D
Apart from that its all good 8)

Hello everyone,

Bought my first Saab in '93 (well two of them- the last of the 900i convertibles)...long gone now but over the years I've had 4 x convertibles, 1 x 5 door 900S, 1 x8v 900i and 1 x 8v Turbo...all 900's....dabbled with a 9000 but found it too heavy.

Currently running a 1990 900i as a daily runner doing about 12K a year and a 1990 T16S 'vert for special days and to keep the moths off her.

Ambitions to get my T8 flat front into some kind of order to be a track day car and spare the other two the abuse!

Good luck to STT and looking forward to lots of hints, tips and hopefully the occasional meet and greet.

Welcome! :)

Shiraz, have you seen this?

Hi sgould,

Yes, I saw it just after making that post.

A bit pricey though - have to multiply by 10 for ZAR!

I was one of the first people to pay for an Audio Troll and I belive it was eventually posted me about 2 or 3 years later but I never received it.

Shall I risk ordering this one?

Welcome to STT Trenchfoot  :)

Look forward to the pics of your convertible  8)

Thank you Kev!

Unfortunately I just arrived in Bahrain and won't have any pics (or the car) until mid Sept when I get back to UK

...I can't wait! The feeling reminds me of how I felt when I was a kid as Christmas was coming!

White (yes, white - this is probably enough for people to identify me even if I were to use a pseudonym...  ;)) CSE 2.3T auto, first reg. 6 Jan 1993, bought Nov '99 @ 67kkm, now about 145kkm (i.e. like me, it ought to get out more). It's white. Special feature (apart from being white): no-cost optional pure new Italian wool upholstery. Wheels: I'll have to look that one up, but they're the nearest I could get to the classic Turbo wheels I had on my previous 9ki (white).

Welcome Harry  ;D  Don't suppose you've done that report yet  ;) ;D ;D

Well, not done in the sense of finished - but I'm working on it. Tinkering, you know, twiddling knobs, buffing bits up. I'll get there one day!

Hello,

I have a MY2003 3.0 TiD Vector saloon which I've had since 2004.

Nice to see a few familiar names from the other Saab forum! :)

Good morning all. Just joined up and thought I would introduce myself. I am Ferkle, and have been for a long old time, and I am a Saabist. I currently have a 9000 aero which is being taken apart at the moment, and an OG9-3 HOT which I picked up yesterday. I'm a keen tuner and have managed to get my head round T5 Suite and love to get my hands dirty and get my spanners out.

Hope to be able to share good information and get good information about this newfangled T7 business - I've been a T5 guy for a long time!

I'll see what I can do.

Jobs on the 9-3 that I have identified so far:

SID Pixels
ACC Pixels
Sloppy gearchange, 5th is very vague
Rear discs and pads
Connect up a boost gauge as it doesn't seem to boost that hard (but then I am used to a 19t converted 9000!)

Future jobs

Bigger/better front brakes
Bigger alloys to match  - on 5 spoke 16" jobs currently
3"dp
3"catback
TD04HL15T from shed to car
Decent intercooler
T5 cams
600cc injectors
Mapping fun
Better boost delivery pipe
Smoother intake/cai
Rack brace
Subframe brace
Thicker RARB
Some kind of lowered suspension
Aero interior

errrm that's what I have so far. I'm sure i'll come up with more and fill in the important blanks.

I've got a MY 2005 9-3 Sportwagon.

Taking it to Jam Saab in Bristol today for a new duel mass flywheel and clutch. Expecting a £1000 bill, but not too bad as it's on the original and done over 175,000 miles.

Hoping to get to 250k miles before I have to replace it.

I have a MY00 95 2.0t estate (midnight blue) and a MY54 93 1.9tid linear (steel grey). Was an avid reader across the way before the change, looking forward to the banter and advice continuing.

Hello Big H. It seems to be going rather quiet 'across the way' or am I getting the wrong impression - maybe just a lull

Hi all,
I've been around since buying a 1993 9000CS about six years ago for €600. It was only supposed to be a stop-gap disposable car but it just keeps passing its safety tests with minimal fuss. In that time it has had a clutch, fuel pump and Lambda sensor apart from regular servicing. It's my daily driver and I've done about 50,000 miles since I've had it; now on 165,000 miles.

Best of luck with the new forum :)
