What does the score indicate, %age of unhappy customers as It's surprisingly high if it's number of satisfied ;D

Even so, my renewal with Chaucer came through this year and they want £250, everyone else wants over £350 (apart from a few insurers I've not heard of). I'm quite happy to live with poor service if it's a lower price, I don't really buy insurance for any reason other than to be legal as they all have potential to be difficult when it comes to claim time.

We are with Aviva (22nd), but it would be rude not too as we work there and get up to 30% off.

Wifey had her wing mirror knocked off of Sunday by an elderly driver (we have it on dash cam video).

He's with LV (no.6), but Aviva are trying to take over and get the car repaired, we've been contacted by a repair co. etc, bu have heard nothing from LV yet.

I'd prefer for LV to fix it, it's him were claiming off.

Grrrr.

You can almost guarantee that the repair co will get the wrong mirror bits (dimming heated glass, memory position folding wing mirror).

David

LV for us.
Always helpful* and premiums have dropped again this year for the 9000.
Highly recommended.

*We have yet to make a claim.

This is the trouble with comparison of any insurance service...

Norfolk Jim

The % is happy customers from recent Auto Express report which said NFU were highly regarded.

Hold that. Moved to SAGA as it was around 40% cheaper   :)

Well I'm with LV and my premium this year went up I think by 7 pound so can't complain really.

£318 fully comp business for both of us, guaranteed courtesy car, legal help, protected no claims and £150 excess.

9-5 Vector Sport 1.9 TiD auto Estate 2007 Hirsch tuned.

You are able to specify your choice of repairer, are you not? Usually you don't get courtesy car benefits if you don't go with their "approved" repairer.

Dash cam's are Mini0801 rear facing, Mini0803 front facing. about £65 each for GPS mount version.

Saved us a load as we only won our claim based on video evidence as he never reported the incident.

Took 2 goes for the repaired to get the correct bits, we didn't get a choice as we went through our insurance, but we did get a nice loan car for 2 weeks.

Norfolk Jim

Yes John - You can now specify your choice of repairer and no longer have to go with the ones your insurance company says'. Most have courtesy cars anyway.

We did this with wifes Volvo when it rolled into a barrier. Adrian Flux were totally useless and said they car car collected from her works within 48 hrs but hadn't at that moment got a courtesy car free. I went Ape as we had fully comp business use and guaranteed car. What was she supposed to do simply not work for two days (community nurse)..................I called Volvo assist as car was covered after servicing at Volvo and within 2 hours her car was collected, taken to Volvo approved repairer and she was in courtesy car on her way!!!! Bl**dy marvellous. Car was delivered back in just over a week immaculate repair and no hassle. Needless to say Adrian Flux lost our custom!! They even tried to delay repair saying engineer was away - no chance as repairer got their own engineer in to argue it and won!!

I'll also never ever insure a car with any company owned or linked to Aviva/Norwich Union as there are too many people insured through them and chances of accident with another Aviva insured is much higher. My son had someone hit him on traffic lights but no witnesses except a passenger in my sons car. Aviva wanted to go 50/50 as other car was with them as well but I surveyed the accident site and proved from positions of vehicles that others were to fault and threatened independent report if they wouldn't go 100% in sons favour - they did in end or it would have affected his premiums much more.

Adrian Flux wanted £1250 to insure my campervan with a £1800 excess as they said repairs are expensive compared to normal vans????? Pardon????? I insured with a specialist recommended by caravan club for £290 inclusive of european breakdown and recovery + car - £0 excess as well.

You have to fight these firms....................

collywobble

Couldn't agree more Jim, SWMBO was hit one morning by an idiot who just pulled out of a layby without looking - he was also insured with Aviva as we were at the time. He told them that she was trying to overtake - on the brow of a hill with a continual stream of commuter traffic coming the other way!   They wanted to go 50:50 as well and we got nowhere arguing our case as there were no independent witnesses.   So back to Saga where at least their customer service staff are in the UK and speak English as a first language!
