Makes a 2009 95 look a bargain....................

Fantastic to see the massive effects of 70's inflation!

In August 1972 I bought a new Saab 96 V4 for £1,200.
In January 1976 I bought a new Saab 99 CM2 for £2,538 (after discount of £113). (+111%)
In April 1981 I bought a new Saab 99 CM4 for £5,259 (after discount of £593). (+107%)
In January 1986 I could not afford a new Saab
so I bought a used Saab 900 for £7,500  with 5k miles on the clock. (+43%)
In February 1990 I bought a used Saab 900i S for £14,450 (+93%)

at every stage except the first I thought this would be my last Saab as they were so expensive!

Since then I have bought 11 more Saabs (new or nearly new).
The most expensive was £22,800 in 1997 for a used 9000 CSE with 7k miles on the clock.

last time saab were in receivership new prices fell dramatically. I couldn't afford one until they dropped so low. Brand new TTiD for £17,500 a good deal I thought.
