Aircon Failure 93 Tid Cab 2009 model
« on: 06 July 2013, 08:30:30 AM »
Hi owned my Saab 18 months, the aircon just stopped working, I was recommended a guy who came out and found a leak on the condenser (saw it with my own eyes) new condenser fitted. Still no aircon, pressure switches, fuses, clutch, all check out okay. The guy can activate the aircon with his probe and it runs, but we can't activate it from the car no chilled air. He can only suggest a broken wire, as he says he has done loads of 93/95 and never seen this.I have calibrated it, am aware of the light on light off routine, and it's turned on auto in the SID ( just to avoid those suggestions) So any input would be appreciated as I am absolutely stumped on this one.

Take it to someone with Tech-II (dealer or specialist) and get them to check out what the system thinks is happening. It sounds like the compressor doesn't cut in but will when manually activated, usually in this situation the control module is either refusing to turn the compressor on or there's a broken wire. It shouldn't be a massive job to diagnose.
