Fuel cap
« on: 25 July 2013, 11:14:06 AM »
Hi All

Does anyone know if a Vectra C fuel cap would fit a 2004 93 Aero 2.0T?

Thanks in advance.

Put on a Saab cap. The fuel delivery system, from the tank cap right through to the injectors pumping fuel to the cylinders, requires a certain pressure to work within specification.

The convertible uses a different one - or three!! Depends on Chassis number, check the last 8 digits.

But those part numbers are GM ones and may match a Vauxhall part number too.  Lots of Saab bits do.  But be careful.  The Saab fuel system is sealed and the fumes are sucked through to the engine.  If the cap leaks air, you will get a check engine light and possibly the boost turned off.

Cheers for the replys guys, just ordered part no. 9158393.  When I bought the car the previous owner lost the original and had a universal cap fitted to it which is a nightmare to get off.

On my 54 convertible I once drove off without refitting cap. Noticed a mile or so on! Went back to garage but must have lost it on the road. The garage brought out the box of lost caps and said see if one fits! A GM branded one was identical!
