Hi Everybody

I'm needing a bit of tyre help as im thinking about buying tyres online but have no idea where to start I know of a few sites recommended to me like Camskill or tyreleader but I'm still not entirely sure on them so I'm just quickly wondering if anybody has any sites that they know are good from personal experience or just based on reviews they've seen? :)

Welcome! :)

I have used www.mytyres.co.uk several times.  The tyres are sourced from Germany.  I have mine sent directly to the fitting garage and then pop down to get them fitted.  Lots of choice.  Lots of fitting stations.  Tick the fully fitted box if you want to go this route.  They also supply tyres only, delivered to your door.

Also know people who have used ww.oponeo.co.uk  and lovetyres.com  Oponeo have a few fitting stations, but not many.

But Camskill are fine.  I've used them for brake parts and other bits.  But my nearest tyre fitter is a "MyTyres" agent! :)

www.mytyres.co.uk is one I will definitely look into as we are looking for the fully fitted option as well

haven't heard of lovetyres or oponeo but I will give them a check we've also been recommended www.blackcircles.com :)

Not sure what car you have but a good tyre is the Nokian Line which has good reviews and surprisingly economical on price!!

You might even like to try either the Michelin Cross Climate as a good year round tyre (good in warm and cold and snowy stuff) or the new Nokian Weatherproof (I think that's what it's called). Both are excellent tyres and save the need for summer AND winter wheels.

My wife has Michelin Cross Climates and so far these are wearing well and are superb in the wet - in some ways I am hoping for some snow (for me to try them out and not her) to see how good they really are.

I've used mytyres and more recently lovetyres who have both been excellent. Lovetyres prices tend to be slightly keener.

I'd reiterate suggestion of the cross climates or nokian weatherproof which I plan to go for next time.

- as recommended by HonestJohn in the Telegraph. Great service - the stock seems massive, prices are competitive, you book a slot, they come when they say will, no problem rotating wheels etc. No more sitting in grubby tyre depots waiting for a bay and being pushed tyres I don't want...

Take a look at the fitters that will fit the tyres supplied by online order and then contact the fitter to see if they can match or beat the online price.  I had some tyres from an online source and the fitter said that he could give me a better price next time.

I'll second mytyres.  Living in North Devon companies like lovetyres and openeo don't have any coverage here.  To be honest it's the fitter that is important - Iv'e had them leave the label on the tread of the tyre and forget to change the pressures when they move the rear wheels to the front!
