9-3 2005 Factory Fitted Options

Hi Gents,

I'm looking at a 2005 9-3 Vector 2.0t convertible that lists the following on it as Factory Fitted Options & I'm wondering what they are?

Con Pack Plus, Business Pack & Exec Pack.

Any illumination gratefully received!

I've never seen any mention of these - has anyone else?

They're not mentioned in the Saab Official Used Brochure covering all models and trim options 2000-2008.

Convenience pack plus was something like electric seats, folding mirrors, rain sensing wipers and auto-dimming mirrors. Business pack was sat-nav with phone and I think executive pack meant you got full leather seats instead of half leather along with electric memory on the drivers seat. That's all from my memory though so could be completely wrong.

Those packs look to be the latest ones.  On a 2005 car they would be slightly different.  Especially the Business pack, as there would be no Bluetooth integration before 2007.  And no Bose option. The 2005 car would have 4, 7, or 13 speakers.

Actually, thinking about it, there was the GSM module in the boot on the earlier cars which I think took a full size SIM card. In some countries you can get multiple SIM cards attached to one number, of course in the UK you couldn't so your car would have a different number to your mobile phone.

You used to be able to get a "carrier" that made your SIM into a bigger one.  Haven't seen one for ages.  My first SIM cards in 1989 were credit card size with the smaller SIM could be pushed out if you needed it the smaller size.

It would have been a pain to do that every time you got in the car to take sim card out of phone and then put into carrier and then put into the boot of the car

Even now the SIM cards supplied from most places start out as full size, with press outs all the way down to nano.

One guy I know has a big card in his car with a PAYG account and he has a "transfer if no reply" set on his own phone.  Then he sets that to silent when he's in the car.
