Looks very familiar to me for some reason. A South Yorkhire car that has headed south for the Summer?

I assume it's an Aero, relieved it isn't an estate. I think the only RHD estate was taken back home to Sweden where it was converted to LHD

Was money mentioned ?
9-5 Aero Estates, 2002 Cosmic Blue, 2003 Steel Grey, 2003 Graphite Green, 2004 9-5 Glacier Blue 2.0 saloon, 2004 Nocturne Blue 2.2 diesel estate, 2006 & 2008 Black Aero saloons, 1998 9000 CSE with Aero engine, 9-5 NG Aero XWD Turbo4, 9-5 NG Aero XWD TTiD, 9-5 NG Aero 2WD Turbo4

No, as I wasn't interested, we just discussed it in general.  It just has a Turbo4 badge on the back.  I'm not well up in the various versions of the NG.

Turbo4 in Aero trim means it's the 2.0Turbo with 220PS, unless it has been Hirsched up to 260PS (Karl doesn't deal with the NG)....

Great engine, until the timing chain goes.  I've always like the Fam II GM engines, but I think it (like mine) needs the Hirsch map to lug the car as when it is laden it does become rather sluggish - after all it is a 2-ton car.

Capacity wise the car is enormous.  Passengers always praised the room in my old 9-5 saloon, the NG is a on different level, you have to shout.

I would have taken mine to Joe's for a service this year, but found getting to Epsom and back a monumental pain, more so than Virginia Water (where Geoff's dead Turbo4 lives).

There is also a Turbo4 for sale (a silver one) on FB as well.

I though Geoff's Turbo 4 had been rescued / rebuilt ?

I don't know about the Hirsch tune, but the Vauxhall Astra VXR tune gives 280 bhp. Other maps are available via the Trionic Tuning forums, if you get in touch with the right people

Doesn't sound like it has, and now that GM-Vauxhall is no more, all the cars being PSA/Stellantis and Luton losing its prominence I guess getting parts for a car/engine discontinued over 7 years ago will be difficult.

And in terms of tuning although there are people who tune B207s they won't touch the newer variants (A20NFT/NHT)...I just checked the VXR did use the same engine....
