Insurance time again!!

Well the joys of having bought the Aero close to Christmas!!! Yes, it's tax and insurance time 🙄

Just renewed the tax - £395 😳 That's gone up £100 since I bought the car. Could be worse though, I think an auto is a lot more, isn't it?

Anyway, just got a quote for the insurance which was much more palatable!! £147 - not bad for a 210bhp car!!! Fully comp with all the add ons apart from breakdown cover!! 🤗

Got my renewal through yesterday - £169. Checked against the comparison sites and they're in the same ballpark for comparable cover, so for the first time in a few years, I'm renewing with the company I'm already with

£430 ouch!

But at least it isn't a post 03/06 auto...

We have all things against us here.  When we moved out of London into Hertfordshire, we found that we were still in an area covered by the Metropolitan  Police, so insurance companies felt that was a good enough excuse to include us in the Outer London zone.  A few years later, the area was passed over to Hertfordshire police, but the insurers decided to keep us in the higher rate area.  Then I got older, so there were standard 10% premium rises, etc. etc. 

Then she sold the 1.8t, retired from her nice safe job as a chartered accountant, bought a 2.8 V6 and became a professional singer. So a double whammy to haemorrhage insurance premiums
