I am trying to find out if the front subframe for an Aero 9-5 is the same as the V6 petrol Griffin.
I can't superficially see why it would be, unless it's the engine mounts?

The parts list is a bit odd for 1998-9 cars.  The factory fit is the same for manual and auto, but it says that these are no longer available.  However the two exchange parts that they list are different for the manual and the auto.

After that 2000-2005 are the same to all intents and purposes.  The parts list shows the original parts have all been replaced by the 2005 subframe.

2006-2010 are another part number, but I have been told, but not confirmed, that the difference is very minor.  Something like a couple of extra holes.

I assume you have a rusty subframe, and a potential donor.

Which car has the problem?

Generally speaking there are many differences between the early mk1 & later cars
9-5 Aero Estates, 2002 Cosmic Blue, 2003 Steel Grey, 2003 Graphite Green, 2004 9-5 Glacier Blue 2.0 saloon, 2004 Nocturne Blue 2.2 diesel estate, 2006 & 2008 Black Aero saloons, 1998 9000 CSE with Aero engine, 9-5 NG Aero XWD Turbo4, 9-5 NG Aero XWD TTiD, 9-5 NG Aero 2WD Turbo4

The front subframe isn't rusty, it's had a clout at some time, which has been straightened so everything measures up correctly, I'm going to change the bushes etc., so thought if I can source a good subframe , I could prepare it ready for a straight swap.
