Hey guys might be a dumb question but what injectors are in the 2.2 tid engine? When I google it multiple options come up and I have no clue what's the difference between them in each engine as I'm beginner in repairing my own stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome !

It just so happens I was working on my 2.2 TiD a few days ago, replacing the pump, so inadvertently had the two of the injectors out without trying, two remained stuck in place

The part number is different between manual and automatic, according to the parts catalogue, which I find difficult to understand. Manual should be 5342243 superceded by 9200844

Don't forget to search the Opel/Vauxhall parts bins, they used the same engine which was described as a DTi

You will need replacement seals, copper washers & I recommend replacing the leak off pipes as well. Tools wise you should consider the injector extraction tool and timing tools, as you will be removing the camshaft. Thy are not that expensive.

What's the problem that leads you to that diagnosis ?

I have a manual 2.2 tid so should I be looking for 9200844 or should I look for both?

Either of the manual ones.  The part number change may just mean the same part but from a different supplier. It shouldn't be significant.

I just looked up the 9196701 part number. That is a Saab part number, but for the 9-3

Again, I don't understand why the part is different, as they are apparently the same engine, certainly the same power output

The pump is different too, I suspect the pump / injectors have some matched variation that is suited to the mass / gearing of the cars.

This listing has some more part cross references https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334023495855? which are for the 9-5 manual version
