Trying to do CK3100 install on SWMBO's 9-3 estate.

Purchase SAABTEL11 cable from justcarkits and plugged into 18-pin connector in passenger footwell. All works except no sound through speakers so cant hear the conversation. Cant see anything obvious. Any ideas?

Have you turned the volume up?  The car differentiates between the sources and sets a different volume level for each one.  Just set the right volume when the Telephone is in use.  Same with traffic announcements and stuff.

Your car is 2008 or later?

Otherwise you need SAAB01TEL or SAAB04TEL.

If it's not that, then I can't think of anything really.  All problems I've had have been on the microphone side.

I found JCK to be very helpful with technical stuff.  Maybe worth giving them a call.

Thanks SGould - phoned them and they advised to remove a transistor on the harness. Apparently I dont need it. Did that and everything now works a treat - looks like faulty component or bad connection. Havent tried saab mic yet but seems to work OK with Parott mic although quality not great.
There is a jack plug in JCK leads to plug into existing saab mic circuit - I cant see where this goes though?

Mone is actually 2007 but 2008 model year

Glad it's sorted! :)  JCK do seem to know the way round odd little problems on these things.

I've fitted the CK3100 in two 9-5's (and some car kits before that).  Last week I fitted the CK3100 to my wife's 2003 9-3.  It needed the lead with the attenuator.  The Saab mic is said to need a pin swap.  It had a quick look but the access was a bit difficult and I was in a hurry, so I fitted the Parrot mic.

The supplied jack plug in the SOT lead is to go into the Parrot blue box and connects to the Saab mic via the 18 pin plug.
