i've been looking around to buy a TTid aero 9-3 and noticed that some have the twin rear exhaust while others dont, same goes with the petrol version - was this only introduced on the aero after a certain date? or was it an option?

Mr Linear

I think the Aero TTid and V6 had twin exhausts.

2.0T Aero single exhaust as was TTid Vector.

dont think you're right as there are loads of 08 plate Aero TTids without the twin exhausts on Autotrader. It looks to me like the twin exhaust didnt come in until late 08 (58)/ early 09.

#agree with that.. seems 58/09 all aeros, inc 2.0T got twin exhausts.

Earlier cars it was only the V6 - wish it stopped like that!

Did the ttid not all have twin exhausts but only the aero have visual pipes? The others were downswept ones behind the bumper??????

When the diesel TTiD (180bhp) was launched, it was as an Aero only and came only with twin exhausts, think this was 2006/2007.

The other 2 diesel variants TiD (120bhp) and TiD (150bhp) had hidden exhausts.

The Aero V6 petrol has always had visible dual exhausts

The Aero 2.0T petrol always had single sided visible exhausts.

This seems to have changed around 2008, I've noticed that the sportwagon and convertible (Aero 2.0T) seemed to lose it visible exhaust but the saloon kept a visible exhaust, maybe this is what happened to the TTiDs as well

hi my 2008 93 vector sport 180 ttdi has twin exhausts but they hidden behind the bumper

And both our very early 08 TTid aero's have twin visible exhaust as does fathers 08 TTid Aero.

I think this was a Saab 'accessories' option. I've seen same year petrol Aeros with both hidden and visible twin exhausts.
