Apologies to Joan Baez, it doesn't scan as well as the original  ::)

I've been looking on Ebay for genuine Saab oil filters for my 9-5, the only ones I can find are in packs of 12 from Neos. I'm toying with the idea of buying a pack, but not sure if my car will last another 72,000 miles  :o. There used to be quite a few sellers listing them in smaller quantities (i.e. ones and twos). Is there a shortage??

270969490534 looks like it's what you want.

I'd suggest people have given up with selling on ebay as the fees are too high and the rights you have as a seller are poor.

And the obscene increase in postal rates from the Royal Mail hasn't helped either....

Made the mistake of including the word "genuine" in the search  ::). Thanks for that, although they do sound more expensive than in the past.  I need a couple of other things so I'll phone my friendly UK Saab dealer in the morning.

I think you're looking at about £9 from a dealer if you pay rrp, probably the same as the ebay price with the shipping so you'll save some pennies on fuel if you don't go and pick it up.  By the time you've accounted for P&P with handling and ebay fees it's totally understandable why that single filter costs £9 and why a box of 12 works out to around £4 each.

Steve Lewis does the "original" blue ones for about £4 + P&P IIRC

Decided to go for the 12-pack. Might at least be able to dispose of a few on Ebay here in Austria and cover the cost!
