So there I was sitting in our Qashqai, returning from our storage unit with some stuff, waiting to turn right at a junction near our new house, when I spotted a car that looked a lot like my 9-3 approach the junction from the right.

I glanced away, and then glanced back, noticing it had the anthracite Speedline alloys on it, just like mine........then I saw the reg...and it was mine!!!!!!!!!!

It came round the corner with the Missus driving it, and she waved to me as she went past :D :D!!!

Now, nothing unusual in that you might think, but in 3 years of having the car, she had not yet driven it. To be honest I try not to drive it too much myself if I can help it, but it's a project and I'm working my way through getting things fixed etc, so that once he's in tip top condition, then I'd let the Missus loose in him!!!

However, I was late getting back from the storage unit, and so she had to take the Saab to go and get our son from school!! I got a phone call some time later from said son, who said "His Mam didn't like the car, and was going to come straight back home with it, so she could swap back into the Qashqai to go back into town"!!!!

She said everything felt heavy - which it does when you get out of the Qashqai, if I'm honest. The 18" wheels/tyres don't help, but the steering is generally heavier, the gearshift quite notchy and heavy, and it does feel very different to our other two cars. She also stalled it twice, and so wasn't feeling very confident with it in the traffic.

So will be interesting to see if she wants to give it a go again soon :D
