Changing a battery

Any tips on changing the battery? (The big one at the front!)

Pretty straightforward - I had to remove mine to change a headlight bulb! They're heavier than you think, and watch out for shorting out the terminals with a carelessly-placed spanner!

Remove the negative terminal first as it wont matter if the spanner touches the terminal and the body work as its negative earth.

Not a problem. as long as you change the battery reasonably quickly. Did it t'other week and didn't have to reset anything.

There's no radio code on a 9-5. The radio is married to the car security system in NVM. You could leave the battery off for months and the radio would still work.

Fitted the battery and it was the proverbial pies of... Car started nicely so will be driving it to work tomorrow.
