When the hearse and limo turned up for my Father's funeral a few years ago, both were Saabs. Dad wasn't a Saab fan as such but I was impressed.

Anyone here use it? Is it worthwhile?

A friend of mine swears by it and was wondering about it for my 9-5 Aero Hot.

Thanks

Thanks David.

I have managed to sort it now.

Classic Saab 9-5 (MY 1998-2010) / Steering rack bushes
16 January 2016, 08:35:06 PM
My 52 plate 95 Aero Hot has failed its MOT today.

One of the problems is the steering rack bushes. I'm having difficulty trying to work out what type I need to get.

Can anyone here advise me please?

Thanks

Watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation again recently and noticed that the Yuppie neighbours have a 9000.

Heard today that our new car (Skoda Yeti) is about to be built and will arrive late November, early December. This will mean that dear Helga, the 9-3 Cabrio, will have to go to make physical and financial room.

Still keeping the 9-5 estate for now but I'll miss the old girl and those topless summer drives...

I would be interested to know too as my 9-5 Aero Hot Estate had the same thing on both rear tyres. These were Goodyears about a year old.

Now fitted some new Michelin CrossClimates all round

Thanks

Thanks for the tip.

Is it (replacement) an easy job?

Thanks anyway for your help.

Luckily it's just the indicator I took out not the headlight. At least a replacement unit won't be anywhere near as much.

My own fault and I'm really annoyed with myself.

Can I get a replacement GLASS for a Xenon headlight on a 52 plate 9-5 Estate or do I have to go for a complete replacement light?

Cheers

What surprises me about other makes is that they put the ignition key lock in some stupid places, and not next to the gear lever.

That's the one thing that will take me longest to get used to when the inevitable happens. Putting it by the gear lever just seems so logical...

On most mornings recently as I've been driving my 1999 9-3 vert to work, a similar vintage 9-3 4 door (also dark blue) has been coming in the opposite direction.

We have now started to flash lights and wave as we pass. A pleasant sign of chumminess amongst Saab drivers I feel.

According to my indie who has now had a look at the car, it's the ABS Control Module that needs fixing.

I see that there are companies that can do a repair on the unit or just the sensor. Does anyone have any recommendations of a reputable company to do the job?

Cheers

Well, yesterday actually but I did replace a headlamp bulb.

Why is it always the battery side that goes, the most flippin' akward?
