Anyone know the best place to get a dog/cargo guard for an 05 Estate. Dealer prices are expensive and even some on ebay are 90 quid, yes I know I'm cheap.

If you wait you'll get one on ebay for about £50. In fact, it looks like they sell for less than that now anyway.

Cheers quinophex just a case of getting the right deal I spose.

Always worth making a dealercan offer as any in stock are probably just taking up shelf space.....

banger

Interesting JM seen one at a dealer for 70 but trying to get lower than that.

banger

Got one on ebay for 31 thanks all.

Got it today and it was a tight fit, some tight tolerances in manufacture of this guard compared to the 9k type, just need a dog now.  :P

Ah yes, good call Trenchfoot!   That is a cracking video that chap put together!

banger

Hehe like the Saab dog.  ;D

I found mine difficult to stop rattling as it tends to loosen if back sears used a lot! Put a little spongy tape ( like racquet handle tape) round the pieces that slot into the roof to reduce irritating rattle. Anyone else had this problem?  Also got the boot divider which helps keep dog away from shopping!

I stopped mine from rattling with foam tape around the bottom fixings, but the TP fixings are OK if you put some weight on them while tightening the bottom.

Here's the link the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0u4Z9FvE8g

Saab should have made a production version of this car and they should have hired this chap for their adverts.

That video just isn't long enough  :(

That is some video. As for the rattling I haven't road tested yet but can imagine it will rattle much as it really was a tight fit into the earlobes.
